Qatar Airways Rolls Out Starlink Wi-Fi on 777s, Setting a New Standard

Qatar Airways is elevating air travel by introducing the first Starlink-equipped Boeing 777. This landmark flight, from Doha to London on October 22, 2024, offers passengers high-speed internet throughout the journey. Qatar Airways is setting a new standard for onboard connectivity as the largest airline in the MENA region to provide this service.

Additionally, the airline aims to equip 12 Boeing 777-300s with Starlink by the end of 2024. It plans to complete the 777 fleet upgrade by 2025, one year ahead of schedule. Moreover, by the summer of 2025, the Airbus A350 fleet will also have Starlink. These steps show Qatar Airways’ commitment to enhancing passengers’ experience with reliable, fast internet access at every stage of their flight.

Starlink, developed by SpaceX, uses low Earth orbit satellites to ensure steady internet service. Even in remote areas like over the ocean, passengers stay connected. They can browse, stream, or work, all with just one click.

Qatar Airways’ focus on innovation keeps it at the forefront of aviation. By offering Starlink, the airline ensures that every passenger enjoys a more convenient, connected journey. This advanced technology continues to improve the travel experience, raising the bar for airlines worldwide.
