Fly Direct: American Airlines Adds Venice and London from DFW

American Airlines will strengthen its transatlantic network with new routes from Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) to Europe. Starting June 5, 2025, the airline will add a direct flight to Venice, Italy, and increase its service to London Heathrow. This expansion supports American Airlines’ commitment to meeting the high demand for direct European travel.

The new DFW-Venice route creates a convenient connection between Texas and Venice for North American travelers. No other direct flights currently link DFW to Venice. American Airlines aims to make Venice’s cultural and historical attractions more accessible. Travelers will enjoy direct access to landmarks like St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace.

American Airlines will also expand its service to London-Heathrow, one of Europe’s busiest hubs. The additional flight to London supports high demand from leisure and business travelers. The added route offers greater flexibility for travelers looking to explore the UK or connect across Europe.

The expansion of these routes from DFW solidifies the airport’s role as a major hub for transatlantic travel. DFW offers extensive options for travelers heading to Europe, with over 200 connections across North America. American Airlines shifted resources away from smaller markets to enhance DFW’s travel offerings to Europe’s top cities.

The airline’s new flights address various travel needs, including business and tourism. This expansion establishes DFW as a launch point for U.S.-Europe travel and supports the demand for European destinations.
