Delta Air Lines prepares for a busy summer in 2025 with changes to its Alaska routes. The airline expands capacity, offering more flights and seats from key U.S. hubs to Alaska. This effort comes ahead of the busy holiday travel season, reflecting Delta’s commitment to meeting the growing demand for travel to the state.
Starting May 2025, Delta will enhance its services between Atlanta and Anchorage. This change adds over 1,300 extra seats compared to the previous year. Flights will operate daily, offering more travel options. The seasonal route runs until early September 2025.
Delta also increases service from Detroit to Anchorage, turning this seasonal route into a daily operation by May 2025. The airline adds many more seats than last year when it offered only a few weekly flights. The increased frequency ensures more travel opportunities to enjoy Alaska’s outdoor adventures.
Additionally, Delta resumes service from Salt Lake City to Fairbanks starting June 2025. The airline will use an Airbus A220-100, offering 6,758 seats over 62 flights in July. This new route provides direct access to Alaska’s heart for adventurers and locals.
With these changes, Delta will add over 14,600 extra seats to Alaska in July 2025, compared to the previous year. This expansion shows Delta’s dedication to providing better access to one of the most popular destinations.
As travelers seek Alaskan getaways, Delta’s increased services will help meet the demand for summer 2025.
