Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia will boost Jakarta-Singapore travel with more daily flights. Starting 22 November 2024, Singapore Airlines will operate eight flights daily, while Garuda Indonesia will expand to six daily by 1 December 2024. This increase ensures more options for travelers between these hubs.
This growth builds on their existing codeshare agreement covering routes between Singapore and Indonesian cities, including Denpasar and Surabaya, along with international destinations like London and Mumbai. By December, they will offer 390 weekly codeshare flights, with 362 between Singapore and Indonesia.
These increased flights reflect the airlines’ dedication to enhancing regional connectivity and boosting business and tourism. In early 2025, they will also expand their frequent flyer benefits. Members of GarudaMiles and KrisFlyer can earn and redeem miles on codeshare flights, adding more value for travelers.
After receiving regulatory approval in July, both airlines plan to launch joint fares in early 2025. Customers can then book flights under a single itinerary, making travel between Singapore and key Indonesian cities easier. Future plans may include revenue-sharing flights and optimized schedules to improve service options and strengthen the Singapore-Indonesia connection.
Through these initiatives, Singapore Airlines and Garuda Indonesia are set to support tourism and economic growth, while delivering valuable travel experiences across Southeast Asia.
