LATAM Group experienced significant growth in October, with a notable 14.8% surge in capacity. This increase, measured in available seat-kilometers (ASK), highlights the airline’s ongoing recovery and expansion. Moreover, LATAM Airlines Brazil played a crucial role, seeing a 14.6% rise in domestic operations. This boost was primarily due to the launch of three new routes and the reopening of Porto Alegre airport. Consequently, these factors allowed LATAM to gradually restore services to and from the region.
Furthermore, LATAM saw an even more impressive 16.5% increase in international capacity, which reflects the group’s commitment to expanding its global network. This remarkable growth in international routes enhances LATAM’s competitive position within the airline industry.
In terms of traffic, LATAM recorded a 14.9% year-over-year increase in revenue passenger-kilometers (RPK). As a result, the airline achieved a consolidated load factor of 85.7%. This performance demonstrates LATAM’s ability to meet rising demand, signaling a clear recovery in the aviation sector.
LATAM transported around 7.2 million passengers in October, marking an 11.1% increase compared to the previous year. As of now, the airline group has carried 67.7 million passengers year-to-date, reflecting a 12.3% increase over the same period in 2023.
In addition, the cargo sector also experienced positive growth. LATAM expanded its capacity by 13.6% year-over-year, which resulted in a total of 706 million available ton-kilometers (ATK) in October. This increase demonstrates LATAM’s ongoing efforts to meet the growing demand for air cargo services.
Overall, LATAM continues to strengthen its position in the global airline market, showcasing impressive growth across both passenger and cargo services.
