Delta Air Lines is resuming its non-stop service between New York LaGuardia and Lexington’s Blue Grass Airport on May 7. Previously, the airline operated this route but suspended it due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, this revival reconnects Lexington directly with the Big Apple.
Delta will deploy a Bombardier CRJ-900 aircraft, which carries 76 passengers in three cabins: First, Delta Comfort+, and Main Cabin. Flights will run daily, with convenient times for business travelers heading to New York. The flight departs Lexington at 07:00 and arrives in LaGuardia at 08:50, taking just 1 hour and 50 minutes. Similarly, the return flight from LaGuardia departs at 19:59 and lands in Lexington at 21:49, with the same block time.
Delta’s return is crucial for Lexington’s community, as many locals had requested non-stop service to New York. As a result, this route supports both business and leisure travel, offering a vital connection to the Northeast.
With this new service, Delta holds exclusive flights from Lexington to New York. No other airline currently operates this route. Meanwhile, Allegiant, American, and United Airlines continue to serve destinations like Charlotte, Las Vegas, and Chicago. Furthermore, Blue Grass Airport is committed to enhancing its services, ensuring a safe and smooth travel experience for passengers.
Now, travelers can easily access New York directly from Lexington, thanks to Delta Air Lines. This partnership will undoubtedly drive regional growth and improved connectivity.
