New Nonstop Flights to Bangkok Boost Travel Options

Air India Express and IndiGo are launching new direct flights from Pune and Surat to Bangkok, starting December 20. As a result, travelers will have more options to reach Bangkok, enhancing the connection between India and Thailand. These nonstop flights will serve both business and leisure travelers, offering faster, more convenient access to the Thai capital.

Air India Express, a low-cost subsidiary of Air India, will operate these flights to Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi International Airport. This new route marks the airline’s 15th international destination. Moreover, following its recent merger with AIX Connect, Air India Express plans to further expand its network, adding even more destinations in the near future.

The Pune to Bangkok flights will run three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The flight departs Pune at 08:40 AM and lands in Bangkok at 14:30 PM, taking just 4 hours and 20 minutes. Similarly, return flights from Bangkok will leave at 15:35 PM and arrive in Pune at 18:25 PM. Air India Express will operate these flights with Boeing 737 aircraft, ensuring passengers enjoy a smooth, comfortable journey.

IndiGo will also offer nonstop flights from Pune to Bangkok, giving travelers additional options. As a result, Air India Express will directly compete with IndiGo on this route, ensuring both airlines offer competitive prices and high-quality service.

Details about the Surat-Bangkok service are yet to be finalized. However, Air India Express is expected to offer similar convenient schedules for passengers traveling from Surat, making Bangkok more accessible for people in Gujarat.

Air India Express is rapidly expanding, now serving over 47 destinations worldwide. Furthermore, the airline plans to increase its network to 55 cities by March 2025, supported by a growing fleet of 110 aircraft. It is also exploring additional Southeast Asian destinations, with flights to Phuket being a possible future addition.

For travelers looking to visit Bangkok, these new nonstop flights offer a reliable and convenient option. As Air India Express continues its expansion, the airline will undoubtedly add more destinations, strengthening its global connectivity.
