Malaysia Airlines Boosts Chinese New Year Travel with 112 Red-Eye Flights

Malaysia Airlines ramps up its services for the festive season, improving connectivity to East Malaysia. The airline adds 112 red-eye flights to destinations like Sabah and Sarawak, offering better travel options for families and holiday-goers. With Chinese New Year and Christmas approaching, the airline responds to high demand by making travel more convenient and affordable.

From December 19, 2024, to January 1, 2025, Malaysia Airlines operates 112 additional red-eye flights. These flights connect Kuala Lumpur with cities like Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan, Tawau, Kuching, and Miri. The airline increases its total flights to 596 during this period, meeting rising demand effectively.

Additionally, Malaysia Airlines introduces fixed fares for the Chinese New Year period, offering affordable one-way tickets to and from Sabah and Sarawak at RM 349. Passengers can book these fares exclusively through the airline’s official website and app, streamlining the booking process during peak times.

From January 24 to February 4, 2025, Malaysia Airlines adds 102 more flights, further increasing weekly services between Kuala Lumpur and East Malaysia. The airline also introduces a seventh daily flight to Jakarta starting January 28, 2025, enhancing regional connectivity and benefiting both business and leisure travelers.

These strategic actions highlight Malaysia Airlines’ commitment to meeting travelers’ needs during the busy holiday season. The airline’s expanded services offer smoother, more affordable travel, reinforcing Malaysia Airlines as the preferred choice for festive travel.
