Spring break just became more exciting, thanks to Spirit Airlines expanding its options from San Antonio International Airport (SAT). Starting in March, travelers can enjoy direct flights to San Juan, Puerto Rico, and new routes to Miami, New Orleans, and Tampa. As a result, this expansion offers more choices for those seeking top spring break destinations.
Moreover, Spirit Airlines will debut a direct route from San Antonio to San Juan on March 5. The service will operate three to four times weekly year-round. Flights will depart SAT in the late afternoon and reach San Juan by evening. Afterward, the return flight will leave Puerto Rico mid-morning and arrive back in San Antonio by the afternoon.
Additionally, Spirit Airlines will enhance its schedule with more seasonal connections. Beginning March 5, the airline will offer flights to Miami, providing easy access to Florida’s beaches. In addition, seasonal service to Tampa will resume from March 6 to 18. Furthermore, Spirit will operate seasonal flights to New Orleans from February 20 to March 18, just in time for Mardi Gras.
These new routes are part of Spirit Airlines’ ongoing plan to meet growing demand for affordable travel during peak vacation seasons. Spirit already offers nonstop flights from SAT to popular destinations like Fort Lauderdale, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Orlando. On April 9, the airline will launch a new nonstop route to Atlanta.
Consequently, with these new routes, Spirit Airlines strengthens its position as a go-to choice for budget-friendly travel this spring break and beyond. The expanding network ensures affordable and convenient flights to top destinations.
