AirAsia will expand its halal services, including halal meals on flights to Cebu, Caticlan, and Cagayan de Oro. These services will cater to Muslim travelers by providing culturally sensitive accommodations and food. AirAsia served over 550,000 halal meals and will increase these offerings in 2025.
The partnership also focuses on growing domestic tourism. AirAsia will increase flight frequency to popular Philippine destinations. This supports the Department of Tourism’s goal of raising tourism receipts, which surpassed P760 billion in 2024. The partnership promotes both local and international tourism to benefit the economy.
