Air Astana, Kazakhstan’s leading airline, strengthens connectivity between India and Kazakhstan with a new direct route from Almaty to Mumbai. Starting on April 20, 2025, this service builds on the airline’s 20-year history of flights to India. Since 2004, Air Astana has expanded its operations in India, offering nine weekly flights between Almaty and Delhi, with extra services during peak seasons.
Moreover, the Almaty-Mumbai flights will run three times a week—on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays—using modern Airbus aircraft. The first flight departs Almaty at 04:30 and arrives in Mumbai at 09:55. In addition, the return flight leaves Mumbai at 11:00 and lands in Almaty at 14:45. The outbound flight takes about 4 hours and 50 minutes, while the return flight is 4 hours and 20 minutes.
This new route further enhances Air Astana’s presence in India, offering better options for business and leisure travelers. Furthermore, Mumbai, a hub for business and entertainment, is a key city for Air Astana’s growth in the Indian market. The city blends cultural, historical, and economic significance, making it a prime destination for travelers from Kazakhstan.
As a result, the new service supports Air Astana’s strategy to meet the growing demand for direct flights between these two economies. The airline’s focus on excellent service ensures a smooth travel experience for passengers, whether traveling for business or leisure.
In conclusion, with this new route, Air Astana continues to connect Kazakhstan with major global destinations. Ultimately, the direct flight between Almaty and Mumbai will strengthen trade, tourism, and cultural ties between the two nations.
