Vietnam Airlines Launches Direct Hanoi-Milan Flights

Vietnam Airlines expands its network by launching nonstop flights from Hanoi to Milan on 1 July. This route makes Vietnam Airlines the first carrier from Vietnam to fly directly to Italy. Milan, Italy’s fashion capital, has become a key market for the airline.

The airline operates flights three times a week: Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The Boeing 787 Dreamliner, with 312 seats, will serve this route. Passengers can choose Business Class, Premium Economy, or Economy. This service strengthens the airline’s connections between Vietnam and Europe.

Vietnam Airlines will monitor the route’s performance. If successful, the airline may introduce a Ho Chi Minh City–Milan flight by 2026 or 2027. This expansion will solidify the airline’s presence in Europe.

Milan, Italy’s second-largest city, sees increasing demand for travel to Vietnam. In 2023, Vietnam welcomed nearly 82,000 Italian visitors, showing strong recovery in tourism. The airline’s direct flight caters to this growing demand.

Vietnam Airlines already connects Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City to major European cities, including Paris, Frankfurt, London, and Munich. With Milan added to its network, the airline is set to attract more international passengers and boost tourism between Italy and Vietnam.

This new route demonstrates Vietnam Airlines’ focus on international growth and commitment to seamless travel. Passengers can now enjoy a direct link between Hanoi and Milan for business or leisure.
