IndiGo is expanding its long-haul reach with new routes and modern aircraft. The airline seeks daily flight slots at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) from Mumbai (BOM) and Delhi (DEL). These routes will strengthen direct connectivity between India and Europe.

IndiGo will introduce the Airbus A321XLR this year to improve fuel-efficient long-haul operations. The airline will also add Airbus A350s in 2027 for intercontinental flights. IndiGo plans to wet lease six Boeing 787 Dreamliners from Norse Atlantic Airways. The first two will arrive in March 2025. These jets will initially serve Bangkok (BKK) and Singapore (SIN) before flying to Europe. This move shows IndiGo’s commitment to long-haul markets.

It operates international flights to Baku, Istanbul, and Tbilisi. Its codeshare agreement with Turkish Airlines grants access to over 30 European destinations. IndiGo competes with global airlines such as Air India, Emirates, and Etihad.

The airline seeks stronger ties with Air France-KLM and Virgin Atlantic. These partnerships will offer valuable airport slots and seamless passenger transfers. Air France-KLM already connects IndiGo passengers to 30 Indian cities. A deeper alliance will boost IndiGo’s presence in Europe.

IndiGo’s fleet expansion, strategic partnerships, and new direct routes will strengthen its global presence. Travelers between India and Europe will benefit from more flight options. IndiGo is ready to compete in the international market.
