AEGEAN Airlines Expands Routes to Keep Up with Santorini-Athens Travelers

AEGEAN Airlines is expanding its operations to address the rising travel demand between Santorini and Athens. On February 3, the airline managed nine flights, including four scheduled and five additional services. These flights helped 1,294 passengers travel to Athens.

For February 4, AEGEAN Airlines has arranged eight flights, consisting of four regular and four extra services. The airline is using Airbus A320 aircraft, ensuring over 1,400 seats are available. This increase in flights allows more travelers to secure last-minute bookings.

At least two of today’s extra flights still have available seats, offering flexibility for passengers. Over the last two days, the airline has transported between 2,500 and 2,700 travelers from Santorini to Athens. This effort highlights AEGEAN Airlines’ commitment to handling travel surges.

Flights arriving in Santorini are carrying only a few passengers, mainly officials, while outbound flights are nearly full. The airline has kept fares for these additional services between €55 and €65, covering VAT and the €22 airport tax for departures from Santorini.

If demand continues, AEGEAN Airlines plans to introduce more flights on February 5. The airline remains focused on ensuring smooth travel while adjusting to changing passenger needs.

For reliable air travel during peak demand, AEGEAN Airlines continues to enhance its services, maintaining efficiency and flexibility.
