Aer Lingus Unveils Exclusive Avios-Only Flight to Sunny Portugal

Aer Lingus is bringing back its exclusive Avios-Only flight, giving AerClub members a chance to book a getaway to Faro using their reward points. This special flight lets travelers use their Avios to secure a seat on a dedicated aircraft bound for Portugal’s Algarve region.

The upcoming Avios-Only flight departs from Dublin on August 17, 2025, and returns on August 24, 2025. AerClub members can book round-trip tickets for just 15,000 Avios, which includes both a 10kg and 20kg baggage allowance. However, taxes, fees, and carrier charges will apply. For those who don’t have enough Avios, a Cash + Avios option makes booking more flexible.

The airline first launched this concept with an Avios-Only flight to Tenerife, which sold out in less than three hours. With high demand for exclusive reward-based travel, Aer Lingus is now expanding the initiative to Faro, a favorite summer destination for Irish travelers. This move ensures AerClub members can turn their loyalty points into real travel experiences.

Aer Lingus rewards its frequent flyers through AerClub, its loyalty program that allows members to accumulate Avios. Points can be earned through flights, hotel stays, car rentals, and purchases from retail partners like Life Style Sports and Deliveroo. These Avios can then be redeemed for flights, accommodations, and other travel perks, helping members save on their trips.

Since its launch in 2016, AerClub has attracted more than three million members. The program features multiple membership tiers, offering increasing benefits as travelers progress through the ranks. With the introduction of Avios-Only flights, Aer Lingus continues to innovate, making it easier for members to enjoy premium travel rewards.
