Emirates strengthens its commitment to education and sustainability by transforming old aircraft materials into schoolbags. The airline partnered with six organizations to give over 1,300 schoolbags to children in Africa. Each bag included essential learning supplies. This initiative reflects Emirates’ goal to repurpose materials while helping underserved communities.

Emirates worked with child welfare groups in Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Ethiopia. The airline’s team packed and distributed the bags, ensuring each child received necessary supplies. The schoolbags contained stationery, books, and calculators to improve learning. This project supports Emirates’ mission to empower children through education and sustainability.

The Aircrafted Kids initiative gives aircraft materials a second life. Emirates repurposed seat fabric from Economy Class to create durable schoolbags. Skilled workers cleaned and redesigned the fabric, adding new linings, zippers, and straps. Each bag meets safety and comfort standards.

After Africa, Emirates plans to expand this project to India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. The airline continues to promote education and sustainability worldwide.

Emirates is also launching a second phase of its Aircrafted luggage collection. The first release sold out fast, proving strong demand for eco-friendly travel products. Profits will fund humanitarian efforts through the Emirates Airline Foundation.

Emirates redefines sustainability by giving aircraft materials a meaningful purpose. Every upcycled schoolbag helps support education, protect the environment, and create social impact.
