Air Canada Resumes Direct Flights to Israel in June 2025

Air Canada is bringing back direct flights to Israel, reconnecting Toronto and Montreal with Tel Aviv. Starting June 8, the airline will operate four nonstop flights per week from Toronto to Ben-Gurion International Airport. In August, it will expand its service with an additional weekly direct flight from Montreal.

The decision comes after a long suspension of flights due to regional instability. Air Canada joins other North American airlines in restoring operations on this key route. United Airlines will resume daily flights from Newark to Tel Aviv on March 15, with a second daily flight starting March 29. Delta Air Lines will follow, launching flights from New York’s JFK to Tel Aviv on April 1.

For over a year, El Al, Israel’s national carrier, dominated the transatlantic route, leading to higher fares and limited options. With Air Canada and other major airlines returning, competition is expected to stabilize prices and provide travelers with more choices.

Meanwhile, American Airlines has yet to announce its return to Israel, making it the only major North American carrier without a confirmed restart date.

Air Canada’s return marks a significant step in restoring global connectivity. The airline’s decision reflects growing confidence in the region’s stability and increasing demand for travel. Passengers will soon benefit from more flexibility and improved access between Canada and Israel.
