Virgin Atlantic and WestJet Expand Routes for Seamless Travel

Virgin Atlantic and WestJet are strengthening their partnership to enhance travel options between Canada, the UK, and beyond. As a result, their expanded codeshare agreement will simplify travel for passengers flying to international destinations, including India, South Africa, and the Maldives. This strategic move aims to offer smoother connections, improved flexibility, and better booking options.

Notably, Virgin Atlantic is set to relaunch its Toronto route in March 2025, marking its return to Canada after more than a decade. This new service will link Toronto-Pearson International Airport with London-Heathrow using advanced aircraft like the Airbus A330neo. From London, travelers can conveniently connect to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Dubai, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. Ultimately, the goal is to provide seamless travel experiences while expanding global connectivity.

Moreover, Canadian travelers will benefit from greater flexibility as the partnership streamlines connections between cities like Calgary, Edmonton, and Vancouver. By allowing passengers to book a single ticket for multi-leg journeys, the codeshare agreement will make long-haul travel more convenient. Additionally, the new arrangement meets the growing demand for efficient international travel, especially for those visiting family abroad or traveling for business.

To further enhance the travel experience, Virgin Atlantic and WestJet will share Terminal 3 at Toronto-Pearson International Airport. Consequently, this co-location will allow for quicker baggage transfers and smoother flight connections. Furthermore, airport authorities will introduce measures to improve the efficiency of passenger movement through the terminal.

Beyond this, Virgin Atlantic is also adding new routes in 2025, including flights to Riyadh, Accra, and Cancun. These expansions reflect a shift in global aviation, with airlines focusing on passenger convenience and seamless connectivity. Therefore, the strengthened partnership with WestJet highlights a commitment to providing better travel options and more efficient connections between key destinations.

With this expanded agreement, Virgin Atlantic and WestJet are making international travel easier. As a result, passengers will enjoy faster, more convenient flights worldwide.
