Ryanair Expands Network with New European Routes

Ryanair is expanding its presence at Alicante-Elche Airport by adding three new European routes. As a result, travelers can now fly directly to Bydgoszcz, Linz, and Salzburg. This move strengthens the airport’s connectivity while offering passengers more travel options ahead of summer 2025.

With airlines preparing for the busy travel season, Alicante-Elche Airport is gearing up for record passenger numbers. Currently, 14.7 million seats are scheduled, marking another milestone in its rapid growth. Since Ryanair already dominates passenger traffic at the airport, this expansion reinforces its leading position. In 2024, the airline carried 7.3 million passengers, and now, with these additional routes, the numbers are expected to rise even further.

Notably, these new routes provide direct flights to cities that previously lacked connectivity with Alicante. Starting March 31, Ryanair will launch flights to Bydgoszcz in Poland, operating twice weekly. Similarly, Linz in Austria will join the network from July 1, with services running on two different days each week. Meanwhile, Salzburg, a city renowned for its cultural significance, will also gain direct flights from Alicante on the same date.

Beyond Ryanair’s latest additions, Alicante-Elche Airport is experiencing broader network expansions. For instance, Jet2 is opening a new base at the airport, improving services to London and Bournemouth. Additionally, EasyJet is launching fresh connections to Athens and Naples, further diversifying travel options for passengers.

With these strategic developments, Alicante-Elche Airport is transforming into a major European travel hub. Consequently, travelers will benefit from greater flexibility, seamless connectivity, and more international destinations. Ryanair’s expansion highlights the airline’s commitment to strengthening its network while meeting growing demand. As summer approaches, passengers can look forward to an improved travel experience with more choices than ever before.
