In addition, medication rules require attention. Travelers must obtain prior approval for controlled medications from the UAE Ministry of Health. However, non-controlled medicines do not need approval. Instead, passengers can carry a three-month supply with a valid prescription. The UAE enforces a zero-tolerance drug policy, and even minor traces of illegal substances can lead to severe legal consequences.
