Etihad Airways and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi have launched the Abu Dhabi Pass. This digital pass enhances travel by offering seamless access to attractions and transportation across the emirate. Moreover, visitors arriving with Etihad Airways receive the pass via email, without needing to download an app or pay extra.
The pass provides several benefits, making exploration more convenient. For instance, travelers get a free tourist SIM card with 10GB of data, unlimited rides on public buses, and 24-hour access to the city’s hop-on-hop-off tour buses. As a result, navigating Abu Dhabi’s iconic landmarks becomes effortless.
Furthermore, this initiative strengthens Abu Dhabi’s appeal as a top travel destination. The pass offers discounts at premier attractions like Qasr Al Watan and Louvre Abu Dhabi. Additionally, visitors enjoy exclusive savings on Yas Island’s theme parks, including Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World™. Not only that, but it also provides deals at over 200 restaurants and experiences such as desert safaris and guided tours.
Meanwhile, the pass builds on the success of Etihad Airways’ stopover program, aligning with the emirate’s long-term tourism goals. In 2024, more than 85,000 visitors took advantage of the stopover program. Consequently, the airline expects over 130,000 guests in 2025, reflecting a growing interest in Abu Dhabi.
Additionally, visitors booking through Etihad Airways can enjoy extra perks, including free hotel stays for up to two nights. Therefore, this initiative transforms a simple stopover into an extended vacation. At the same time, the Abu Dhabi Pass supports the emirate’s Tourism Strategy 2030, which aims to attract millions of tourists and contribute significantly to the economy.
