Thai AirAsia Expands Routes with Exciting New Travel Connection

Thai AirAsia is expanding its network with a new international route connecting Chiang Mai, Taipei, and Sapporo. This move not only strengthens travel links between Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan but also enhances convenience for passengers. The airline aims to provide more flexible options for both leisure and business travelers.

The new service, launching on June 15, 2025, will operate daily. Travelers can easily fly from Chiang Mai to Sapporo with a brief stop in Taipei. Moreover, this route offers a convenient alternative for passengers who want to explore Japan from northern Thailand. At the same time, Taiwanese travelers benefit from more direct access to Sapporo, a destination popular throughout the year.

To celebrate the launch, Thai AirAsia has introduced special fares starting at 7,620 Baht for one-way trips. Additionally, these promotional tickets are available for booking between March 25 and March 30, 2025. Furthermore, the travel period extends from June 15 to October 25, 2025, ensuring passengers have enough time to take advantage of the offer.

With this new route, Thai AirAsia continues its expansion strategy using Fifth Freedom rights, which allow stopovers in intermediate cities. Notably, the airline has already successfully implemented similar services between Thailand, Taiwan, and Japan. As a result, the Chiang Mai – Taipei – Sapporo connection adds to existing Fifth Freedom routes, including flights between Bangkok, Taipei, Okinawa, Kaohsiung, and Tokyo.

Sapporo remains a top choice for both Thai and Taiwanese travelers. During the summer, the city offers stunning landscapes, delicious food, and vibrant cultural experiences. Consequently, this new route provides an easy and affordable way to explore Japan’s northern beauty.

Thai AirAsia continues to innovate and expand, making cross-border travel more accessible. As a result, with punctual services and affordable fares, the airline strengthens its position as a leader in regional air travel.
