Frontier Airlines is strengthening its presence in Southern California by launching three new nonstop routes from San Diego International Airport. Starting June 12, 2025, the airline will introduce daily flights to Chicago O’Hare. The following day, it will add routes to Austin and Salt Lake City.
With these additions, Frontier Airlines now connects San Diego to eight destinations. To celebrate, the airline is offering special fares starting at just $39. This expansion aims to provide affordable travel options while enhancing connectivity for passengers in the region.
Frontier Airlines is also rolling out major improvements to enhance the travel experience. The airline has introduced UpFront Plus seating, offering extra legroom and guaranteed aisle or window seats. Later in 2025, it will introduce First Class seating, providing more comfort at budget-friendly prices. Additionally, loyal customers will enjoy unlimited companion travel, making it easier for frequent flyers to save on trips.
The airline is redefining its loyalty program with the FRONTIER Miles initiative. Travelers can earn miles quickly, with multipliers increasing as they reach elite status. Just 10,000 miles unlock perks such as priority boarding and free checked baggage. Family-friendly policies also allow members to pool miles, making travel more convenient for groups.
With these new routes and passenger-friendly features, Frontier Airlines continues to expand its footprint while keeping air travel affordable. San Diego travelers now have more options to fly conveniently to top destinations without breaking the bank.
