Munich Airport Expands Global Reach with New Flights

Munich Airport is set to enhance global connectivity with its expanded summer schedule for 2025. Starting March 30, the airport will host more than 214,000 flights, connecting travelers to 216 destinations in 68 countries. With 73 airlines increasing their services, passengers will enjoy more travel choices than ever before. The summer schedule will run until October 26, offering seamless connections across continents.

International travel from Munich Airport will see a significant boost. Cathay Pacific is introducing a new route to Hong Kong, operating four times a week with state-of-the-art Airbus A350 aircraft. Discover Airlines is establishing a long-haul base in Munich, with new routes to Orlando, Windhoek, and Calgary using Airbus A330 aircraft. Lufthansa is making a bold move by stationing all eight of its Airbus A380 aircraft at Munich Airport. The airline will provide daily flights to major destinations like New York, Los Angeles, and Delhi. Additionally, Lufthansa is expanding its reach with increased flights to Bangalore and San Diego and launching a new route to Tromsø, Norway.

Travel to the Far East is also expanding. Vietnam Airlines is increasing its service to Hanoi while maintaining flights to Ho Chi Minh City. EVA Air will launch a direct connection to Taipei, offering premium services aboard a Boeing 787. Etihad Airways is stepping up operations with twice-daily flights to Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, SCAT Airlines will introduce a new link between Munich and Shymkent, Kazakhstan.

European destinations are becoming more accessible. easyJet will operate more frequent flights to Rome, while ITA Airways strengthens connections with Milan. New services to Foggia and Rimini will offer additional travel options within Italy. SkyAlps is introducing flights to Mostar, Bosnia-Herzegovina, and Transavia France is adding a new route to Paris-Orly. SAS is doubling its flights to Copenhagen, while Pegasus Airlines is ramping up its Istanbul service.

Business and leisure travelers will benefit from enhanced domestic and international routes. Condor is expanding its schedule, offering daily flights between Munich and Frankfurt. With up to 120 weekly departures to popular destinations like the Greek and Canary Islands, Munich Airport is providing more travel flexibility than ever before.

This extensive expansion cements Munich Airport’s role as a major global hub. With increased connectivity, improved scheduling, and more destination options, passengers can experience a seamless and enhanced travel experience throughout the summer season.
