Previously paused in 2023 for cost management, the Brisbane route now operates six days a week. In addition, travelers can depart Kuala Lumpur at night and arrive in Brisbane by morning. Likewise, the return flight leaves Brisbane early and reaches Kuala Lumpur that same afternoon.

Moreover, the airline offers affordable pricing. Economy fares start at $755, while business class begins at $3,400. For those continuing to Europe, Malaysia Airlines provides smooth connections to London and Paris. These connecting fares begin at around $1,449, ensuring value and comfort.

Notably, the Airbus A330 aircraft offers lie-flat seats and private throne seating for solo passengers. Furthermore, travelers can enjoy upgraded services designed for comfort on longer journeys. Business passengers also receive lounge access at Brisbane’s terminal, while others may use the Escape Lounge for a small fee.

Thanks to support from the Queensland Government and airport authorities, this route returns under a new investment fund. This partnership aims to grow tourism and improve economic links with Asia and beyond. Consequently, Brisbane now becomes more accessible for international travelers.

Looking ahead, Malaysia Airlines will triple flights to Sydney and Melbourne in October 2025. In addition, it plans to launch new direct routes using long-range, single-aisle jets for regional access. These developments show the airline’s commitment to expanding services across Asia-Pacific.
