IndiGo Aircraft Damaged After Ground Vehicle Collision at Bengaluru Airport

On the afternoon of April 18, a third-party ground handling agency’s minibus crashed into a parked IndiGo aircraft at Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport. The aircraft, which was not in service, suffered minor damage. Fortunately, no one was injured.

The accident, which occurred around 12:15 PM, temporarily disrupted the airport. However, authorities responded quickly, following all necessary protocols in coordination with stakeholders. IndiGo confirmed the incident and launched an investigation into the cause.

On the following day, IndiGo flight 6E 5074, traveling from Delhi to Indore, faced discomfort due to a malfunction in the air-conditioning system while on the ground. Passengers reported that the cabin felt uncomfortably warm before takeoff. As a result, IndiGo explained that the air conditioning didn’t work properly on the ground. Once the aircraft took off, however, the system began functioning correctly, and the cabin cooled down.

Furthermore, the airline assured passengers that it prioritizes comfort and will take action to prevent future issues. Although the problem was resolved, it raised concerns about air-conditioning reliability. IndiGo is committed to maintaining high standards of comfort and safety for all passengers. Therefore, the airline continues to address any issues promptly to ensure passenger satisfaction.
