Saudia Airline Makes Emergency Landing in Delhi Over Flat Tire

Saudia Airline’s flight from Saudi Arabia to India made an emergency landing at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Flight SV758, carrying over 300 passengers, had to land due to a suspected flat tire. The aircraft landed safely at Terminal 3 around 5:20 pm. No one was injured, and the crew handled the situation efficiently.

Passengers felt relieved when the aircraft landed smoothly. Airport authorities quickly responded to ensure the safety of everyone on board. Their swift actions minimized any potential risks during the emergency.

The emergency landing occurred amid ongoing disruptions at the airport. Indira Gandhi International Airport has been undergoing runway maintenance, causing delays. Runway 10/28, which is being upgraded with a new Instrument Landing System (ILS), reduced the airport’s capacity. The number of flights handled dropped from 45 to 31-32 per hour. This change has led to delays, affecting nearly 900 flights in a single day.

The airport authorities plan to reopen Runway 10/28 in early May. This will help ease congestion and improve the flow of air traffic. With the upcoming winter fog season in mind, the reopening will enhance operational efficiency and minimize disruptions.
