Air Astana Expands With Bold New Global Routes

Air Astana continues its bold growth by adding two crucial international routes this summer. As a result, travelers now enjoy direct flights from Atyrau to Baku and Almaty to Frankfurt. These routes mark a major step toward Air Astana’s global expansion goals.

On May 31, 2025, Air Astana launched the Atyrau-Baku route to connect key business hubs. Therefore, business and leisure travelers can move easily between Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan. The flight operates three times weekly, which strengthens regional trade and tourism opportunities. Moreover, Atyrau’s oil-rich economy and Baku’s cultural scene now link more efficiently.

Following that, on June 1, the airline began its Almaty-Frankfurt service. This addition improves European access for travelers departing from Kazakhstan’s largest city. Consequently, Frankfurt’s financial district becomes more reachable, while Almaty gains greater global exposure. The new Airbus A321LR offers a smooth, modern travel experience for long-distance passengers.

Furthermore, Air Astana upgraded its codeshare agreement with Lufthansa to support this expansion. Because of this, travelers gain seamless connections across Europe and the Middle East. Additionally, booking becomes easier and more flexible, thanks to the joint flight arrangement.

These new services also align with Kazakhstan’s goal to integrate further into the global economy. Thus, the country attracts more investment, business, and tourism through improved air travel. As Air Astana expands, it continues to upgrade its fleet and raise service standards.

In conclusion, these bold routes push Air Astana closer to becoming a top global carrier. The airline now connects Central Asia to major international cities with better convenience and higher frequency.
