LOT Polish Airlines and EVA Air have launched a new codeshare agreement to improve travel between Poland and Taiwan. This partnership starts on June 9, 2025, and lets passengers book a single ticket from Warsaw to Taipei with smooth connections through Vienna or Tokyo Narita. By using this codeshare, travelers enjoy easier booking, fewer delays, and a more streamlined journey.
This new deal unites two major carriers, making flights between Central Europe and East Asia more convenient. Passengers no longer face the hassle of booking separate tickets or dealing with different airline rules during layovers. Instead, the codeshare allows luggage to transfer directly to the final destination, eliminating extra checks and varying baggage policies.
Frequent flyers benefit as well. Both airlines have aligned their loyalty programs, letting customers earn and redeem points on all segments of the trip. Premium passengers gain access to lounges and faster boarding on both airlines, enhancing their overall travel comfort.
The choice of Vienna and Tokyo Narita as transit hubs adds value. Both airports provide efficient services and reliable connections, crucial for long-haul flights. Warsaw Chopin Airport serves as a gateway to many European cities, while Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport connects travelers to various Asian destinations.
This collaboration also reflects shifting travel patterns after the pandemic. Demand for Europe-Asia routes is growing, and these airlines respond by expanding their reach and improving service. The codeshare could soon include more cities, offering travelers wider options and smoother experiences.
By linking Poland and Taiwan more closely, this agreement also supports stronger economic and cultural ties. Business trips, tourism, and educational exchanges will benefit from better air access. Travelers can now book these codeshare flights through both airlines’ websites or global booking systems, offering flexibility and ease.
