New Flights from Hong Kong to Saipan and Guam Make U.S. Travel Simple

Greater Bay Airlines is making a bold move into the U.S. market. The Hong Kong-based airline plans to launch its first-ever flights to American territories by winter 2025. Notably, it aims to connect Asia and the Pacific more directly and affordably.

Initially, the carrier will begin flights from Hong Kong to Saipan, a U.S. territory in the Northern Mariana Islands. Therefore, this route will mark its official entry into American airspace. As a result, travelers will benefit from improved access to leisure and cultural destinations.

To support this launch, Greater Bay Airlines will use Boeing 737-800 aircraft. These jets fit the airline’s low-cost and high-efficiency model. Additionally, they suit routes with moderate demand and lower competition.

Following the Saipan debut, the airline will expand further by adding Guam in 2026. To enhance capacity, it will operate Boeing 737-9 aircraft on this route. Consequently, travelers can expect more seats and better fuel savings.

Importantly, this strategy avoids major mainland U.S. routes. Instead, Greater Bay Airlines focuses on underserved destinations with high growth potential. By doing so, it can grow sustainably and gain market share.

The airline has also aligned its plans with U.S.–Hong Kong air service agreements. Thus, it ensures smooth regulatory approval for its operations. Moreover, it will offer both charter and scheduled flights across the Pacific.

Since its founding in 2020, Greater Bay Airlines has expanded across Asia. Now, it is scaling internationally with a lean fleet and clear vision. Its entry into U.S. airspace marks a new chapter in transpacific travel.

Undoubtedly, this move will reshape regional connectivity and tourism. Greater Bay Airlines is building new bridges between Asia and the Pacific.
