Qatar Airways Marks 30 Years in India with Bold Moves

Qatar Airways continues its leadership in global aviation by reaching a major milestone in India. In 2025, the airline celebrates 30 years in Kolkata and 20 years in Delhi. These anniversaries reflect Qatar Airways’ deep commitment to one of its strongest markets.

Since its Indian debut in 1994, the airline has expanded across 13 cities. Currently, it runs 100 weekly flights from India. Through Doha, it connects travelers to the UK, Europe, Africa, and the Americas. As a result, business and leisure passengers enjoy smooth and fast connections.

Moreover, Qatar Airways transported over 2.4 million passengers between India and the world in 2024/25. Even during the COVID-19 crisis, the airline remained reliable. Between April 2020 and March 2022, it flew more than 1.8 million passengers. This effort showed Qatar Airways’ resilience and trustworthiness.

In addition, the airline plays a major role in Indian trade. It operates 120 weekly cargo flights, including 20 Boeing 777 freighters. Therefore, exporters and importers benefit from consistent and fast cargo handling.

To enhance the travel experience, the airline will launch a new business class menu in September 2025. This menu, crafted by a top Indian chef, adds rich Indian flavors to the skies. As a result, travelers will enjoy a gourmet journey from takeoff to landing.

Qatar Airways also continues to earn global recognition. In 2025, it won ‘World’s Best Airline’ and ‘Best Business Class.’ The airline now flies to over 170 cities worldwide. Through Hamad International Airport in Doha, it offers unmatched global connectivity and comfort.
