Turkish Airlines faces rising criticism after repeated baggage issues on Antalya–Moscow flights. As a result, passengers arrived at Vnukovo Airport without their checked bags, which caused frustration. Turkish Airlines blamed aircraft weight limits for leaving bags behind and rerouted them through Istanbul. However, that delay only increased dissatisfaction among travelers.
Moreover, passengers continued to report missing, delayed, or damaged luggage. These problems reveal serious gaps in Turkish Airlines’ baggage operations. Although the airline expands rapidly, its infrastructure fails to handle growing traffic. Consequently, each incident damages customer trust.
Similarly, passengers in Buenos Aires and Accra faced the same troubles. In some cases, they waited over a week for their bags. Therefore, concerns now grow about Turkish Airlines’ ability to deliver consistent service.
Additionally, legal pressure has intensified. Officials fined Turkish Airlines for ignoring compensation rules. Since these violations broke international agreements, the airline now faces increased scrutiny.
Due to ongoing issues, passengers now track their bags with GPS devices. As a precaution, many also file Property Irregularity Reports at airports. Clearly, travelers no longer rely on the airline for basic accountability.
Thus, Turkish Airlines must act fast to rebuild trust. It should strengthen baggage systems, improve staff response, and speed up compensation claims. Otherwise, the airline risks long-term damage to its global image.
For now, travelers must stay alert. They should prepare for delays, track their bags, and report issues immediately. Although some progress may follow, frustration continues to grow.
