Jetstar expands its reach with two new direct routes that connect Australia and the Philippines. The airline launches Perth to Manila flights on November 27, 2025. Moreover, Brisbane to Cebu flights begin on December 3, 2025, with seasonal operations until May 2026. Both routes run three times weekly and add more than 108,000 budget seats every year. Therefore, families, tourists, and businesses now gain faster and cheaper connections.
These nonstop services remove the need for layovers in Singapore or Kuala Lumpur. Consequently, passengers reduce travel stress and save valuable time. Families reunite sooner, while tourists reach beaches faster. Meanwhile, corporate travelers improve schedules and maximize efficiency. Jetstar positions itself as a reliable budget airline that delivers convenience and affordability.
Launch fares begin at AUD 199 from Perth to Manila. Additionally, Brisbane to Cebu fares start at AUD 188. Every Starter ticket includes a seat and 7 kilograms of cabin baggage. However, travelers can add meals, checked luggage, or seat selection. This model ensures flexibility and allows passengers to tailor journeys to their budget.
Jetstar deploys Airbus A321LR jets on these routes. Each aircraft seats 232 passengers and burns less fuel. As a result, the airline reduces operating costs and keeps fares consistently low. Furthermore, the modern cabin design enhances comfort and streamlines boarding. Travelers benefit from smoother flights while the airline expands capacity across its growing network.
The timing of this move is strategic. Australia welcomed 7.7 million arrivals by March 2025, while the Philippines drew nearly 300,000 Australians in 2024. Therefore, travel demand continues to climb across both markets. Affordable flights from Jetstar strengthen family reunions, tourism growth, and business ties.
Competition also intensifies with Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific, and Qantas in the market. However, Jetstar’s lower fares expand accessibility and boost overall connectivity. Consequently, more people now choose flights that once seemed unaffordable.
