China Airlines Redefines Loyalty With New Status Points Program

China Airlines has introduced a new loyalty program that reshapes travel rewards. The airline will launch its Status Points system at the end of 2025, and this shift positions China Airlines ahead of regional competitors. Therefore, travelers can expect more valuable rewards from every flight.

Under the system, every flight will contribute to upgrades and renewals. Moreover, for the first time, miles from promotional and group fares will also add to status points. Consequently, members will benefit even when traveling with discounted tickets. At the same time, the airline will preserve all existing benefits from the Dynasty Flyer program, which will keep frequent travelers satisfied.

In addition, China Airlines has improved redemption flexibility. Members can now combine valid miles with transferred or purchased miles. Furthermore, recently expired miles can return at reduced rates, which creates greater convenience. The airline has also launched an electronic coupon platform, and this platform allows travelers to redeem services from more than 130 brands in Taiwan. As a result, members can now use miles at supermarkets, pharmacies, lifestyle outlets, and entertainment venues.

Beyond Taiwan, the program expands globally. In fact, an exclusive hotel booking platform connects travelers with more than 600,000 accommodations worldwide. Therefore, members can either earn miles while booking or pay directly with miles, which expands redemption options even further.

Technology also plays a major role in this upgrade. For example, the airline’s website features an Actual Mileage and Status Point Calculator to help travelers plan. Meanwhile, the AI-powered Miles Assistant provides answers around the clock, and this makes program navigation easier. Because miles now work like currency, members can share rewards, purchase extras, and even gift them to family or friends.

Finally, China Airlines has embedded sustainability and responsibility in the program. A green membership track encourages low-carbon flying, while a charity program converts miles into cash for partner causes. Therefore, the loyalty program now delivers benefits beyond personal travel. With these improvements, China Airlines strengthens customer loyalty and demonstrates leadership in aviation innovation across Asia.
