Qatar Airways strengthens its presence in China through an expanded codeshare with China Southern Airlines. The new partnership places Qatar Airways’ code on China Southern flights from Beijing Daxing to Doha. These services begin October 16 and add to existing Guangzhou connections. With this addition, travelers gain direct links between China’s major cities and international hubs. At the same time, China Southern extends its code to 15 Qatar Airways destinations across Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. This includes important cities such as Athens, Barcelona, Cairo, and Munich, opening new routes for global travelers.
Furthermore, the cooperation extends to Chengdu, Chongqing, Hangzhou, and Shanghai. Travelers now enjoy wider access across China and faster connections through Doha. Beijing Daxing also emerges as a new strategic gateway, complementing existing routes. The increase in flight frequencies allows travelers to plan more flexible trips while enjoying smoother global access. Qatar Airways now operates 64 weekly flights across Greater China with its partners. This level of connectivity strengthens the recovery of international travel and gives passengers better choices.
