Lion Group is boosting regional connectivity with new routes and a strategic relocation to Changi Airport’s Terminal 4. The expansion strengthens links between Singapore and Malaysia while enhancing the travel experience for passengers across Southeast Asia.
From December 2025, Batik Air Malaysia will connect Singapore to Ipoh, Penang, and Subang. These routes will add convenience for travelers and support Malaysia’s tourism efforts ahead of Visit Malaysia Year 2026. The expansion will also build on Lion Group’s strong presence at Changi, where weekly flights to Malaysia will surpass 460.
The new Ipoh and Penang services will attract leisure travelers seeking culture and food experiences. The Subang route will also benefit business passengers by providing a quicker link to Kuala Lumpur’s city centre. These additions will diversify options for both Singapore residents and regional travelers while extending Lion Group’s network.
To support this growth, the airline group will move its operations from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4 in November 2025. The modern terminal can handle 16 million passengers annually and features advanced self-service systems for check-in, bag drop, and boarding. With attractions like the Heritage Zone, Steel in Bloom garden, and vibrant shopping and dining outlets, T4 will also enrich the passenger journey.
The move will ensure faster processes, greater efficiency, and more opportunities for route expansion. Thai Lion Air and Batik Air Indonesia will also operate at T4, creating a stronger platform for the Group’s airlines in Singapore.
Terminal 4 has added new dining and retail brands, including Adidas, ZUS Coffee, and Southeast Asian restaurants. Shuttle buses will run every five minutes from November 2025, making connections across Changi seamless. The relocation signals Lion Group’s vision to strengthen its role as a bridge between communities across Asia.
