Brussels Airport is setting new travel trends this autumn with exciting routes to Sweden, China, and Morocco. The expansion comes as the airport prepares to welcome over 1.2 million passengers during the busy travel season. These new routes strengthen Brussels Airport’s position as a leading European hub for both leisure and business travelers.
The airport’s winter schedule now includes 135 direct destinations. Among the highlights, Hainan Airlines will connect Brussels to Chongqing, a major Chinese city, three times weekly. This route boosts Asia-bound travel and supports growing trade links. Meanwhile, Smartwings introduces 12 weekly flights to Prague, offering passengers greater connectivity across Europe.
TUI fly adds fresh excitement for winter sports enthusiasts with new flights to Sälen in Sweden and Innsbruck in Austria. Travelers can now reach these snowy destinations quickly, enhancing their ski holiday experiences. At the same time, sun-seekers can enjoy year-round flights to Spain’s top spots like Malaga, Alicante, and Barcelona, or explore Morocco’s beaches with Transavia’s new service to Agadir.
Brussels Airport continues to prioritize sustainability in its operations. Airlines are adopting modern, fuel-efficient aircraft such as the Airbus A220, which lower emissions and reduce noise. These initiatives align with the airport’s goal of providing greener and more comfortable journeys.
The airport expects peak travel days during the autumn holidays, with up to 82,000 passengers passing through daily. Enhanced staffing and improved services ensure smoother operations during this surge. With its expanding network, Brussels Airport continues to evolve as a dynamic gateway connecting Europe to the world, offering travelers greater choice and convenience every season.
