Aeroméxico Expands Horizons with New Paris and Barcelona Routes

Aeroméxico is preparing to reshape Mexico’s global air network with two major route additions in 2026. The airline will launch a direct Monterrey–Paris connection and revive its Mexico City–Barcelona service. These developments position Aeroméxico at the heart of international tourism growth ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Starting April 13, 2026, the Monterrey–Paris route will connect northern Mexico directly to Europe. This launch follows extensive upgrades at Monterrey International Airport, transforming it into a modern hub ready for increased global traffic. The airport’s expansion, including new terminals and runways, supports Mexico’s goal to strengthen air accessibility for travelers worldwide.

Meanwhile, from March 28, 2026, Aeroméxico will resume flights linking Mexico City with Barcelona. Operated aboard Boeing 787 Dreamliners, this route will run six times weekly, giving passengers faster, smoother access between the two cities. The service will also reduce dependence on connecting flights, ensuring more efficient travel for both tourists and business travelers.

These routes arrive at a crucial time as Mexico prepares to welcome global football fans during the World Cup. The enhanced connectivity will drive tourism revenue, create local jobs, and boost hospitality, retail, and transport industries. By improving direct access to major European capitals, Aeroméxico strengthens Mexico’s position as a global tourism leader.

Aeroméxico’s network expansion also aligns with national aviation development goals. Ongoing modernization at Monterrey’s airport will further enhance travel experiences while attracting more visitors. These investments promise long-term benefits, reinforcing Mexico’s reputation as a destination rich in culture, sport, and opportunity.

As Aeroméxico broadens its international footprint, it continues to link Mexico with the world’s most iconic cities. This bold expansion not only supports tourism but also inspires greater global exchange, shaping a new era for Mexican aviation.
