TAP Air Portugal expands its domestic network by launching a new Porto–Terceira route and increasing Porto-Funchal flights. Consequently, the airline responds to rising demand from both leisure and business travelers while strengthening Porto’s role as a gateway to the Azores and Madeira. Therefore, travelers gain more convenient options to explore Portugal’s stunning islands and vibrant culture.
Starting March 29, 2026, TAP Air Portugal will operate four weekly flights between Porto and Terceira. Moreover, the service uses a modern A320neo aircraft with 168 seats, ensuring comfort and convenience. The flights depart Porto at 15:20 and arrive in Terceira at 17:00. In addition, return trips leave Terceira at 17:50 and land in Porto at 21:15. These carefully timed schedules cater to both tourists and business passengers, thereby enhancing regional connectivity.
The new Porto-Terceira connection allows easier access to Terceira’s rich history, natural beauty, and growing business opportunities. As a result, this initiative supports tourism on the island and fosters economic growth while connecting mainland Portugal with one of the most important Azores destinations.
At the same time, TAP Air Portugal increases its Porto-Funchal flights from 14 to 18 weekly. Specifically, the added services run on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, departing Porto at 12:10 and arriving in Funchal at 14:15. Likewise, return flights leave Funchal at 15:05 and arrive in Porto at 17:05. These additional frequencies allow passengers to enjoy Madeira’s scenic landscapes, year-round mild climate, and cultural richness more easily.
By expanding these routes, TAP Air Portugal strengthens regional mobility, tourism, and business connections. Furthermore, Porto gains a stronger role as a domestic travel hub, while travelers benefit from flexible schedules and improved access to the islands. Overall, the airline’s investment underlines its commitment to national cohesion and regional growth, thereby offering a vital link for travelers exploring Portugal’s diverse regions.
