Air Europa has confirmed a major long-haul expansion by launching direct flights between Madrid and Johannesburg. Starting June 24, 2026, Air Europa will connect Europe and Southern Africa, and this move highlights rising demand for direct Europe–Africa travel. Furthermore, the airline plans three weekly flights, which improves schedule consistency and supports traveler planning.
