Aer Lingus launches a new Dublin to Raleigh-Durham route, strengthening transatlantic connectivity between Ireland and the United States. The airline expands its Aer Lingus network while improving access to major European destinations.

The new service links North Carolina’s Research Triangle with Dublin, creating faster travel options for both business and leisure passengers. It also supports growing demand for direct US–Europe connectivity.

Aer Lingus operates the route up to five times weekly using the Airbus A321XLR. This aircraft improves fuel efficiency and enhances passenger comfort on long-haul flights.

Dublin Airport acts as a key transfer hub, connecting travelers to cities like London, Paris, Rome, Madrid, and Amsterdam. As a result, passengers enjoy smoother access to over 20 European destinations.

The Raleigh-Durham region benefits from stronger global exposure through this route. Research Triangle Park gains improved links for technology, research, and innovation partnerships.

Universities such as Duke University and North Carolina State University also gain stronger academic exchange opportunities with Europe. This supports research collaboration and student mobility.

The new route aligns with major events such as the Aer Lingus College Football Classic in Dublin. It allows easier travel for fans attending international college football games.

Aer Lingus continues expanding its North American network with additional routes, including future US destinations. This growth reinforces Dublin’s role as a major transatlantic aviation hub.
