Alaska Airlines continues expanding California travel options with several new nonstop routes. The airline will connect Santa Rosa and Long Beach with important western destinations. Moreover, Alaska Airlines aims to strengthen regional tourism and business travel through these additions.
Beginning in November 2026, Alaska Airlines will launch nonstop flights from Santa Rosa to Phoenix, Boise, and Salt Lake City. These new services will help travelers reach ski resorts, desert escapes, and growing business hubs faster. Furthermore, the airline plans daily or near-daily flights on each route during the busy winter season.
Santa Rosa travelers will gain easier access to outdoor destinations across the western United States. At the same time, Phoenix will attract leisure travelers seeking warmer weather during colder months. Meanwhile, Boise and Salt Lake City will support winter tourism as ski season begins across nearby mountain resorts.
Alaska Airlines also plans a major return to Long Beach after a ten-year absence. Starting in September 2026, the carrier will operate two daily flights between Seattle and Long Beach. Consequently, Southern California travelers will receive another convenient alternative to crowded regional airports.
The renewed Long Beach service will strengthen Alaska Airlines’ position across California markets. Additionally, the airline will connect Seattle with every major airport in the Los Angeles Basin. This broader network will support tourism, family travel, and corporate demand throughout the region.
Alaska Airlines also continues improving onboard technology across its growing route network. The carrier now equips its regional fleet with Starlink Wi-Fi technology for uninterrupted internet access. Therefore, passengers can browse, stream, and work during flights without major connectivity interruptions.
The airline also promotes tourism through its long-running Wine Flies Free program in Santa Rosa. Travelers can transport wine purchases home without additional baggage costs under qualifying conditions. As a result, wine tourism across northern California could receive stronger visitor demand during the upcoming travel season.
Alaska Airlines and its partner brands now serve more than 140 destinations worldwide. Through these new California routes, the company continues strengthening domestic travel access and regional connectivity across the western United States.
