Vietjet Launches New Airbus A320 Routes to Asia

Vietjet, Vietnam’s top private airline, is actively expanding its network with new Airbus A320 routes. With the year-end and Lunar New Year holidays fast approaching, Vietjet enhances international connections from its main hubs in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. This expansion not only offers travelers more affordable options but also significantly strengthens the airline’s presence in key Asian markets.

On October 5, Vietjet announced new plans to improve air connectivity. Specifically, it will launch new services and increase flight frequencies on popular routes. This initiative directly targets the rising demand for travel during the festive season, especially between Vietnam and neighboring countries.

Starting November 28, 2024, the airline will introduce a new route from Hanoi to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Notably, this daily return service marks Vietjet’s second direct connection between Vietnam and Malaysia. It effectively complements the existing route from Ho Chi Minh City to Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KUL).

Additionally, Vietjet will resume flights between Ho Chi Minh City’s Tan Son Nhat International Airport and Tainan Airport in Taiwan on December 12, 2024. This new route will provide nonstop access between Vietnam’s largest city and Tainan, a historic economic center in Taiwan.

To meet rising passenger demand, Vietjet will also increase frequencies on various routes. Key destinations include Cambodia, Laos, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea. With over 100 Airbus aircraft, including the A321neo Family jets, Vietjet is well-prepared to support its expanding network.

As part of its growth strategy, Vietjet plans to boost daily flights connecting Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport to Siem Reap in Cambodia and Nagoya in Japan by October 27. Furthermore, flights from Ho Chi Minh City to Vientiane in Laos will transition to daily service. In addition, services between Hanoi and Busan in South Korea will increase to 14 round trips each week. Likewise, the Ho Chi Minh City to Bali route will rise to an impressive 49 one-way flights weekly.

With a strong focus on safety and comfort, Vietjet remains dedicated to providing modern aircraft and excellent service. As the airline continues to grow, it reinforces its position as a key player in the Asia-Pacific aviation market. Ultimately, it connects passengers to exciting destinations.
