IndiGo is strengthening its international presence by launching flights between Delhi and Bangkok. To meet the rising demand for air travel, the airline has leased a Boeing B787-9 from Norse Atlantic. This expansion also aligns with IndiGo’s long-term strategy, as it plans to introduce XLR aircraft in 2026 and A350s in 2027.
Moreover, IndiGo is not just adding new aircraft but also enhancing the in-flight experience. To offer passengers a taste of India, the airline has partnered with premium Indian brands. Travelers can now enjoy gourmet meals from Oberoi Catering Services and exclusive beverages from Sula Vineyards. As a result, IndiGo continues to showcase India’s finest brands on a global stage.
Furthermore, to elevate passenger comfort, IndiGo is introducing IndiGoStretch on this route. This premium seating option provides extra legroom and several added perks. For instance, travelers enjoy priority check-in, flexible boarding, early seat selection, and increased baggage allowances. Since this service has already received positive feedback on domestic routes, IndiGo is now bringing it to international travelers.
In addition, the Boeing B787-9 features a spacious double-aisle design, ensuring a more comfortable journey. IndiGoStretch includes 56 premium seats in a 2x3x2 configuration with a generous 43-inch seat pitch. Meanwhile, the economy section offers 282 seats in a 3x3x3 arrangement, providing ample space with a 31-inch seat pitch.
Notably, IndiGo introduced IndiGoStretch in November 2024 on high-traffic domestic routes. Now, the airline is extending this premium experience to international travelers. Since air travel demand continues to grow, IndiGo remains committed to expanding its fleet and delivering world-class service.
Starting March 1, 2025, flights between Delhi and Bangkok will officially begin. With this launch, IndiGo once again redefines air travel by blending comfort, convenience, and a touch of India’s best brands.
