AEGEAN Airlines has launched a new direct flight connecting Thessaloniki to Amsterdam, enhancing its international network. This addition marks a significant milestone for Thessaloniki Airport “Macedonia,” offering passengers more travel options to major European cities. The airline will operate three weekly flights to Amsterdam Airport “Schiphol” every Monday, Thursday, and Saturday throughout the winter season. The route will continue into the summer of 2025, solidifying Thessaloniki’s position as a key hub for travelers in Northern Greece.

The new Amsterdam route further strengthens Thessaloniki’s accessibility to top European destinations. It provides both leisure and business travelers with more flexibility when planning their journeys. This expansion underscores AEGEAN’s commitment to increasing connectivity and supporting regional tourism. With high demand already demonstrated through strong occupancy rates, the route is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing Thessaloniki’s appeal as a year-round destination.

AEGEAN Airlines, known for its reliable service and extensive European network, operates flights to numerous international and domestic locations. In the summer of 2024, AEGEAN serviced 20 international and 15 domestic routes from Thessaloniki, showcasing its strong presence in the region. For the winter season, the airline now connects Thessaloniki to more than 14 European cities, including destinations like Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Rome, and Barcelona. Additionally, AEGEAN offers frequent connections to popular domestic locations.

The collaboration between AEGEAN and Fraport Greece has made this new route possible, with celebrations at Thessaloniki Airport marking the inaugural flight. Travelers also enjoyed special surprises upon arrival at Amsterdam Airport. As AEGEAN continues to expand its reach, passengers from Northern Greece can expect more seamless connections to key international destinations.
