MOSCOW – Aeroflot, Russia’s flag carrier, has announced a significant expansion of its international route network with the addition of new destinations in South America. The airline will launch nonstop flights from its hub at Sheremetyevo International Airport in Moscow to major cities in Brazil, Argentina, and Peru.
Starting in the summer of 2025, Aeroflot will operate three weekly flights to Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. The airline will also introduce two weekly flights to Lima, Peru. These new routes will be operated using Aeroflot’s modern fleet of Airbus A350 aircraft, offering passengers enhanced comfort and convenience.
The expansion into South America is part of Aeroflot’s strategic plan to strengthen its presence in key international markets and capitalize on the growing demand for air travel between Russia and the region. The new routes are expected to boost tourism, trade, and cultural exchange between Russia and South America.
