Air Canada Expands Regional Routes with Bold New Connections

Air Canada is expanding its regional network, and travelers will soon enjoy better options. Starting in December 2025, the airline will launch direct flights from Ottawa to Fredericton and Moncton. Moreover, Vancouver will connect directly to Fort McMurray, while Sudbury will see more flights to Toronto in February 2026. Therefore, Air Canada strengthens its role in linking regional cities with major hubs.

The Ottawa routes will create stronger links with New Brunswick’s growing centres, Fredericton and Moncton. Additionally, travelers will use Air Canada Express Q400 aircraft, which deliver quick and comfortable journeys. As a result, passengers will connect more easily to Air Canada’s larger domestic and international network. Meanwhile, the Vancouver–Fort McMurray service will run three times weekly, beginning December 2, 2025. Consequently, corporate travelers in Fort McMurray will gain faster access to Vancouver’s global connections.

Furthermore, Sudbury will benefit from more Toronto services beginning February 1, 2026. The third daily flight will raise seat capacity by 50% and enhance flexibility. In addition, this adjustment will reduce wait times and allow quicker access to Toronto’s international hub. Therefore, Sudbury passengers will find more convenient travel opportunities within Canada and beyond.

These changes will benefit both business and leisure travelers who demand more efficient schedules. For example, Ottawa passengers will save time reaching New Brunswick, while Fort McMurray travelers will reach Vancouver faster. Moreover, Sudbury flyers will connect through Toronto with greater ease and more flight choices. Consequently, Air Canada positions itself as the airline that improves regional connectivity and strengthens national ties.

Finally, Air Canada demonstrates commitment by investing in underserved regions and expanding direct access. The new services, beginning in December 2025 and February 2026, will transform regional travel. As a result, passengers will gain smoother, faster, and more reliable journeys across Canada and beyond.
