Air Canada is enhancing its US network with new routes starting in May 2025, using Bombardier CRJ900 jets. The airline will introduce daily flights from Toronto (YYZ) to Jacksonville (JAX) and Montreal (YUL) to Cincinnati (CVG). Additionally, Air Canada will resume services to Washington with the CRJ900s in May 2025.
New Routes for Air Canada
Air Canada’s expansion includes two new routes to the United States. This marks a significant return for the airline to Jacksonville after more than five years. The new services will use the airline’s Bombardier CRJ900 fleet, which consists of regional jets known for their efficiency and comfort.
Details of the New Services
Starting May 22, 2025, Air Canada will operate the following routes:
Toronto to Jacksonville
Flight details are as follows:
- Departure from YYZ: 18:30
- Arrival at JAX: 21:12
- Return Departure from JAX: 10:00
- Return Arrival at YYZ: 12:45
- Frequency: Daily
Montreal to Cincinnati
Flight details include:
- Departure from YUL: 18:10
- Arrival at CVG: 20:25
- Return Departure from CVG: 13:15
- Return Arrival at YUL: 15:30
- Frequency: Daily
Air Canada’s CRJ900 Fleet
Air Canada operates a fleet of over 100 regional aircraft, including 35 CRJ900s managed by Jazz. These jets feature a configuration of 64 business class and 12 economy seats. In addition to the CRJ900, the airline uses Embraer E175s, De Havilland Dash 8-400s, and CRJ200s for regional services.
The CRJ900 fleet will also support Air Canada’s return to Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) in April next year, marking another key addition to their service offerings.
