Air Canada is transforming luxury travel with an exclusive upgrade to its business class experience. As part of its premium strategy, the airline will introduce a next-generation ‘business plus’ suite on its Boeing 787 aircraft. This move not only enhances premium seating but also boosts revenue from high-end travelers.
Since competition in luxury air travel is rising, Air Canada is focusing on attracting business-class passengers. To achieve this, the airline is redesigning its seating to provide more space and privacy. The upcoming Boeing 787-10, arriving in 2026, will feature a significantly upgraded Signature Class. In particular, the front-row suites will offer more comfort and exclusivity compared to standard business class seats.
Furthermore, leading airlines have already embraced this trend, and Air Canada is following suit. The airline’s new ‘business plus’ suites will offer passengers greater privacy, larger entertainment screens, and personal wardrobes. Additionally, travelers will have the option to dine for two, making the experience even more luxurious.
Of course, luxury travel comes with a premium price. Around the world, airlines charge extra for front-row business suites, and Air Canada is expected to adopt a similar approach. Moreover, the new Boeing 787-10 will increase business class capacity by 40%, allowing more passengers to enjoy the enhanced experience. At the same time, premium economy seating will expand by 33%, catering to travelers who seek comfort without paying full business class fares.
Not only is Air Canada upgrading its seating, but it is also enhancing the onboard experience. The airline is introducing doored suites, 4K entertainment screens, Bluetooth audio streaming, and wireless charging. These modern features will give Air Canada a competitive edge in luxury travel.
Beyond its wide-body fleet, the airline is also extending premium travel to single-aisle jets. Specifically, the Airbus A321XLR, set to arrive in 2025, will feature an upgraded Signature Class. Thanks to this expansion, Air Canada is ensuring a seamless luxury experience across different aircraft types.
