Air Canada ramps up flights to Orlando this spring. The airline introduces its Boeing 777-300ER on select routes from Toronto Pearson. Orlando is a popular destination, especially during spring break, so Air Canada adds capacity to meet the demand. The Boeing 777-300ER, with 450 seats, operates three times a week starting February 28, 2024, until March 14, 2024. These flights add more seats for vacationers traveling to Florida.
This expansion boosts Air Canada’s services between Toronto and Orlando. The airline previously flew the route with smaller aircraft like the Airbus A321. However, during spring, the airline deploys the Boeing 777-300ER along with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner and other widebody aircraft. These planes ensure enough seats during peak travel times. They also offer more comfort for passengers visiting Orlando’s theme parks and attractions.
Air Canada plans to increase seat availability further in February and March. By February 2025, the airline expects to offer more than 52,000 seats across 281 flights, up from 50,930 in January. The increase in flights will give travelers more options, especially during the busy spring period. In March, Air Canada will operate 70 flights with Dreamliners and 34 with the Airbus A330-300, totaling 68,786 available seats.
Although Air Canada significantly boosts services to Orlando, low-cost carriers still dominate the market. Airlines like Southwest and JetBlue have a strong presence at Orlando International Airport. Despite this, Air Canada’s expanded service gives travelers more choices and comfort during the spring season.
